I can’t watch this show. I went to college with Ben Salisbury. One of the biggest jerks I’ve ever known. He lived on my floor and we were both Poli Sci majors so we had a lot of the same classes. Thought he was the shit since he was famous. Can’t stand him.

He’s also a right wing homophobic douchebag. Got into it with him after I had an Oscar party in 2000 where he proceeded to tell me that the Best Actor winner (who is one of my favorite actors and people on the planet) was a “f*****ing faggot.” Classy.

If this is true then it’s actually tragically funny. Playing Brighton in The Nanny was the height of this guy’s career. It’s got to be one of the most camp shows of the 90s; are we sure there’s not an ounce of self-loathing along with that homophobia?

I don’t know, I can’t hate people like that. It’s more like You poor bastard, your life is a massive irony. How did this happen to you?
