I just bought a young person’s railcard
I’ll get a third off all my future train tickets, which is pretty cool. While filling out the online form I was asked to upload a “clear, passport-like photo” of myself.
I don’t keep many photos of myself on my computer so I went to Facebook and in the end I went with this one:

I cannot help but feel that if the railcard people accepted such photos my whole railcard experience would have been significantly enhanced.

Today I was helping to lead the pilgrimage around the island and it was sunny
and I actually got sunburnt

A friend of mine posted some pictures of me to Facebook from when we went to Samoa in 2004.
I look at them and remember what a good time we had and how important that experience was for me.
I also look at them and remember how glad I am that I’m not 16 anymore.
